Bringing Britain home: our story so far...
Meet Rachel & Tony, the heart behind A Little Brit of Heaven. While our journey as a British foods shop might have started small, the story behind it is rich with history, love, and a deep passion for the flavours and traditions of the UK.
Tony’s story begins in Edmonton England, a town in north London, before making the leap across the Atlantic to Canada in 1992. At the time, Rachel was in high school in North Vancouver, having grown up savouring the British foods and traditions her parents brought from Bristol when they came to B.C. in 1974.
It wasn't until fate brought Rachel & Tony together in 2014 that they began building their happily ever after. With a beautifully blended family—Rachel’s children, Lilly & Ben, Tony’s son Tanner, and their youngest, Ella Rose, born in 2018—their lives are filled with love, laughter, and of course, good food.
In 2017, Rachel & Tony took their first step into business together by purchasing Noah’s Water, a filtered water delivery company. It was within the walls of the bottled water shop that A Little Brit of Heaven was born, starting with just six shelves of British treats. It wasn’t long before the shelves overflowed, the demand grew, and the decision was made: it was time to embrace the delicious world of British foods fully.
Today, A Little Brit of Heaven is a celebration of classic foods, nostalgic sweets, savoury nibbles, and the welcoming community that Tony and Rachel love so much. Whether you're stopping in for your favourite crisps or decadent chocolate treats, or browsing trinkets and treasures from the UK, our shop is filled with little reminders of Britain’s rich culture. If you're looking to indulge in a taste of home (or discover something new) or simply find a charming keepsake, we’re delighted to have you here!
Come visit us and share in the flavours, traditions, and trinkets that remind us of our roots, our journey, and the special place that British foods hold in our hearts.
